Breaking: High fire response continues for Walton County firefighters

Walton County Fire Rescue’s busy week continues as crews respond to structure fires in Walton County Saturday afternoon.

“We have two outbuildings on fire – 1418 Nunnally Trace,” said Capt. Jeff Allen with WCFR. “Two storage sheds destroyed. Cause was a controlled burn that got away.  Monroe Fire assisted with Nunnally Trace.”

Allen said that fire is in mop up stages. There were no injuries. However, there is another fire in a pool house in the Providence Club.

“First unit just arrived and confirmed it’s a working fire,” Allen said. “Loganville Fire and Monroe Fire are assisting with Providence Club.”

Allen asked that everybody reminder that the area is currently under a High Fire Danger alert due to low humidities with dangerous conditions.

“The Georgia Forestry Commission’s fire danger rating for our area is 4.5 out of 5.
