WALTON COUNTY, GA (March 10, 2026) Walton County Fire Rescue Deputy Chief reports that an overnight fire damaged a residential home on March 9.
“At 11:43 p.m. last night, firefighters from WCFR and Loganville Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 1100 block of Brookstone Estates Drive,” League said. “Upon arrival, firefighters found fire inside a wall of the home that had been struck by lightning.”
League said the fire was extinguished but it did cause moderate damage to one room.
“No injuries were reported and the occupants were able to remain at the house,” League said.
