WALNUT GROVE, GA (Dec. 29, 2025) Walton County Fire Rescue responded to a two alarm fire on Cannon Farm Road in Walnut Grove on Monday afternoon. According to WCFR Deputy Chief Craig League, Ffirefighters from Loganville, Social Circle and Newton County Fire Departments assisted.
The fire began as a detached shop building and spread due to high winds to involve multiple vehicles and a camper.
“As of 5:15 pm all units at the structure fire in Walnut Grove have returned to service. Due to the forecast winds, we will keep a frequent check on the area through the night,” League said.
The Nation Weather Services has issued a Fire Watch for Tuesday afternoon and evening for the local area with a caution to watch out for the potential Fire Warnings being issued.
