The City of Loganville is attempting to reschedule Saturday’s Christmas Parade date, but in the meantime, it has been canceled for this weekend due to weather. Initial officials had said that it would go on rain or shine, but with the possibility of thunderstorms, they decided it was better to not take a chance.
“We are working with DOT to possibly reschedule,” said Kristy Daniel with the City of Loganville.
“While we were prepared to go forward with the parade in the rain, due to the possibility of thunderstorms, we have decided it is necessary to cancel this weekend’s Christmas parade,” was posted on the City’s Facebook page. “At this time we are looking at the possibility of rescheduling the event, but that will depend on a number of different factors. We will keep everyone updated and thank you for your patience and understanding as Mother Nature got the best of us this weekend.”
