Snellville, Georgia) Around 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, officers from the Gwinnett County Police Department responded to a shooting on Annistown Road near the Walmart located at 3435 Centerville Highway. According to a press release from GCPD, when officers arrived, they found the victim in the road with gunshot wounds to the leg and shoulder. He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives were able to determine from the scene and speaking to the victim at the hospital that he was shot at six times while driving on Annistown Road toward Centerville Rosebud Road. After getting shot in the leg and shoulder, the victim drove over the center median and collided with a vehicle in the oncoming traffic. He then got out of his vehicle and began limping down the sidewalk to the road where the officers found him.
The victim reportedly told detectives that he had gone to the gas station but turned around and left when he realized he’d forgot his wallet. It was then that he noticed a green car driven by a black male in his 20s with a fade haircut and wearing a dark-colored puffy jacket follow him out of the parking lot. He said the car subsequently pulled next to him and the driver began shooting. He said he did not know who the shooter was or why he had shot at him. The shooter continued driving when the victim crossed the median and crashed.
