Breaking: Monroe man charged with the murder of his 37-year-old son

A 58-year-old Monroe man is charged in the shooting death of his adult son. The victim was Jack Duval Low Jr., 37, of Monroe.

Maj. Scott Whisnant of Walton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Jack Duval Low Sr., 58, was booked into the Walton County Detention Center Friday. According to jail records, he is charged with murder, burglary, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm/knife during the commission of a crime. Whisnant said he was arrested at his home on Friday morning. The incident was allegedly the result of an argument.
