Breaking: MPD working a case of ‘shots fired’ in neighborhood off Lacy Street

Monroe Police Chief R.V. Watts confirmed that police with Monroe Police Department responded Wednesday evening, March 4, 2020, to a report of shots fired in a neighborhood on Lacy Street. Neighbors report a large contingent of police officers on the scene.

“Officers are working it. No one was hurt that we know of at this time,” Watts said. Officials report that several shell casings were found and the resident at a home was taken into MPD for questioning.
