Capt. Jeff Allen with Walton County Fire Rescue reports that a single vehicle accident on Shoal Creek Road near Dry Pond Road has one lane temporarily blocked. Allen reports that the vehicle struck a pole. The driver was injured and transported to a trauma center in Athens. The lane was expected to remain closed for about an hour from 4 p.m.
