Firefighters from the City of Loganville and Walton County Fire Rescue are busy working two fires in the Loganville area, one that resulted in an injury. Capt. Jeff Allen with WCFR said a fire in an outbuilding on Johnson Road west of Loganville resulted in one person being transported to a burn unit by Walton County EMS. Units are also assisting in a working garage fire that is current happening in the City of Loganville.
“The incident in Social Circle is still being investigated. Social Circle Fire Department assisted in that instance,” Allen said. “Three working structure fires in a short period of time makes for a busy day and really can strain our resources. Our automatic aid agreements with the cities of Loganville, Social Circle and Monroe really pay off on days like today. They send help when we need it and we send them help when they need us.”
