Officials with the City of Loganville confirm that a wreck at Highway 20 and Brand Road in Loganville on Saturday night resulted in one person being transported to the hospital.
“(It was a) two-vehicle accident and one of the vehicles was a tractor-trailer,” said Robbie Schwartz, spokesman for the City of Loganville. “One driver had to be extricated from a car.”
Schwartz said at this time he does not know the age of the driver or the extent of his injuries. There was only one person transported to the hospital as a result of the wreck.
Schwartz did confirm that there were no fatalities in this wreck.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, as at noon Sunday, there had been 11 fatalities reported during this Memorial Day Weekend travel period. None of them, however, were from the local area.
