At 5:08 pm The City of Monroe Fire Department responded to a reported house fire on North Midland Ave. No one was at home at the time of the incident. According to Captain Jack Armstrong with MFD, Walton County Fire Rescue assisted MFD with the call. Nobody was home at the time.
“Red Cross has been called to assist the family,” Armstrong said. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
