In a mostly partisan vote, former president Donald Trump was acquitted in an Impeachment Trial for a second time in just over a year. Seven Republicans crossed over to vote with the full contingent of Democrats in an attempt to convict him.
Republican senators who crossed over to vote with the Democrats were Sens. Richard Burr of North Carolina, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah, Ben Sasse of Nebraska and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania.
