Breaking: WCSO activity in Chandler Haulk area was due to car chase

Law enforcement activity Friday morning in the Chandler Haulk Road area of Unincorporated Loganville in Walton County was the result of a car chase, according to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.

“We got into a car chase that began on Center Hill Church Road, but we called it off due to road conditions,” said WCSO Chief Deputy Keith Brooks. “We are still patrolling the area, but I don’t believe we have anybody in custody at this time.”

Brooks said the car chase involved a white Honda Accord with Fulton County plates, believed to possibly be a stolen vehicle.

“We called it off because we have to operate with due regard for the public’s safety. We have to do that, but unfortunately the criminals don’t have to,” Brooks said.

Witnesses from the Chandler Haulk Road area had reported WCSO deputies and K-9 patrols in the area Friday morning.
