Full bio for Cassie Jones follows.
Cassie Jones

Cassie Jones has a vested interest in Social Circle City Schools. All three of her children currently attend school in the district. Along with her kids attending Social Circle City Schools, Cassie is heavily involved in the PTO at each of her children’s schools. Not only is Cassie a proud supporter of Social Circle City Schools, she also graduated from there in 2002.
Cassie, and her family, moved back to Social Circle in 2011 to be closer to their family after the loss of a family member. In the community, Cassie is involved in many different adventures. She has served at treasurer of the South Walton Recreation Department, she has served on Awana at First Baptist Church, where she is an active member, and has held organizational roles with the Friendship Festival and festival parade for the past three years.
In 2016, Cassie entered into the world on entrepreneurship when she started her own small business, MAK Photography. In starting this business, Cassie has developed a working relationship with all schools by taking photographs at many different school and sporting functions.
Cassie’s main focus of this position is to analyze and prioritize the education of Social Circle City School students. Many parents and citizens of this city choose to make this a problem for them and them only. After-all, this board was created to provide a better learning environment for the kids.
Cassie has a few goals that will help better the Social Circle City School district. She plans to help create open communication between the Board of Education and the Social Circle community. Second, she wants the community services relationships to flourish. Within each school, and the district as a whole, Cassie wants to raise our school standards and improve student accessibility and use of technology. She also wants more people to know what is going on in our schools. Currently, only one Board Member has a student in our schools. How can we really know what goes on in our schools if we are not actively involved in each school or board members children do not even attend our schools? Also, she would like to help improve the number of qualified substitute teachers in our buildings. Lastly, Cassie wants to address the building of a new elementary school during her elected term.
Through the thorough thought of all these goals, Cassie Jones is your choice to represent District 1 on the Social Circle City Schools Board of Education. Let’s bond together to “BREAK BARRIERS AND BUILD A FUTURE” for all of our young people.
