It was the first John’s Supermarket building and most recently it was Milo’s restaurant.. and now it’s gone!
The changes coming to South Broad are beginning to take shape. Anyone driving past the current John’s Supermarket can’t miss the pile of rubble on the side of the road that will eventually be the parking area for the new John’s Supermarket, Bistro South restaurant and apartments that Greg Thompson is building on the south side of the city.
The plans include an expansion of Johns Supermarket that will bring it out to the road to accommodate a restaurant that will seat about 50 people as well as an expanded supermarket. In addition, the building will be going up a floor to add six two bedroom, two bathroom, loft apartments.
