There is nothing that says Christmas in Monroe more than the annual Christmas Parade, and this year was no exception. The rain and snow held off, just for the day, and people braved the cold to stand – sometimes 10 deep – to watch for more than an hour as float after float, band after band and happy Christmas revelers marched, sang and danced in celebration of the 2017 Christmas Season.
If you missed it, below is a recap of the seasonal event. And if you still need a reminder that Christmas is almost here, a trip downtown Thursday evening is a great reminder. There will be photos with the Grinch, carriage rides and shops all a glitter to help usher in the Christmas season.
