City of Monroe Police Department to celebrate National Night Out

From 5 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, the City of Monroe Police Department, along with more than 38 million neighbors and 16,000 communities from all 50 states, will participate in the 2018 National Night Out. This will take place at 306 S. Madison Avenue, Monroe.

“This annual event, originally organized in 1984, is a day set aside to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods a safer, better place to live,” the City of Monroe said in a press release on its website. “Join us for food and fun with our local heroes.”

Free hot dogs will be proved by Walton EMC to the first 500 people who show up hungry! Planned activities include games and an obstacle course with the officers and a spraying from the fire hose! (make sure to bring a towel and wear clothes to play or get wet)
