COVID-19: Georgia 131; Gwinnett 10; Walton 4 more deaths reported over the weekend

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021. Gwinnett County is reporting 10 more deaths in the past 24 hours, Walton County is reporting four more death and Georgia is reporting 131 more deaths over the weekend.

Walton County

Cases – 6,414 – 130 more cases reported over the weekend – 917 in the past 2 weeks 
Cases per 100,000 – 6,696 cumulative (957 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 119 – that’s 4 more deaths reported over the weekend (deaths per 100,000 is 124.2)
Testing 23.1 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 15.3 % (23.6 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks) 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 70,267 – that’s 1,664 more cases reported over the weekend  (11,182 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 7,235 cumulative (1,151 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 653 – That’s 10 more deaths reported over the weekend (67.2 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 20.0 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 13.0 % (20 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks)

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 718,532 that is 10,782 more cases reported over the weekend. An additional 770 Antigen positive cases also were reported in the past 24 hours.
ICU admissions – 8,199 – 63 more admissions reported over the weekend. Hospitalizations – 48,385 – That’s 437 more hospitalizations reported over the weekend.
Total deaths – 11,801– That is 131 more deaths reported over the weekend.

A total of 6,208,860 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 435,326 antibody tests. That is 34,390 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 686,333 (11.1 %) have come back positive and 57,197 (13.1 %) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 4,909 (14.3 %) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities

Great Oaks, Monroe – 30 confirmed staff members and 65 residents. That’s no more resident and no more staff members reported positive in the past 24 hours. There have been 12 deaths, that no more reported in the past 24 hours.

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, Two residents, 3 confirmed staff case, two deaths – That’s no more staff members or residents reporting positive and no more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 2 staff members who have tested positive – That is no additional case reported in the past 24 hours.

Park Place, Monroe – 120 resident cases, 65 confirmed staff cases, 34 deaths – That’s no more staff members, no more residents cases and one more death reported in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care – 32 confirmed resident cases, five deaths – 8 staff members – That’s no more staff members, no more residents and no more deaths in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville: 39 confirmed resident cases – 25 staff cases and 6 deaths. That is no more residents, no more staff cases or resident deaths in the past 24 hours.

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported. No more cases reported or deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
