COVID-19: Georgia 137; Gwinnett 7; Walton 3 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

Georgia cases 5,686 plus 3,133 Antigen positives reported for 8,818 total positive tests in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021. Gwinnett County is reporting sevenmore death in the past 24 hours, Walton County is reporting three more deaths and Georgia is reporting 137 more deaths in the past 24 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 5,706 – 89 more cases reported in the past 24 hours – 1,208 in the past 2 weeks 
Cases per 100,000 – 5,955 cumulative (1,261 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 93 – that’s three more death reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 97.1)
Testing 28.4 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 14.7 % (28.4 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks) 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 61,310 – that’s 621 more cases reported in the past 24 hours  (10,505 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 6,313 cumulative (1,082 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 597 – That’s seven more deaths reported in the past 24 hours (61.5 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 24.8% positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 12.4 % (24.8 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks)

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 654,356 that is 5,685 more cases reported in the past 24 hours. An additional 3,133 Antigen positive cases also were reported in the past 24 hours.
ICU admissions – 7,837 – 38 more admissions reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 45,533 – That’s 356 more hospitalizations reported in past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 10,580– That is 137 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 5,763,974 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 417,679 antibody tests. That is 26,112 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 618,324 (10.7 %) have come back positive and 50,661 (12.1 %) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 4,620 (17.7 %) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities 

(The figures for Jan. 13, 2021 had not been uploaded at the time of going to press. The figures below remain those given on Jan. 12.)

Great Oaks, Monroe – 28 confirmed staff members and 60 residents. That’s no more residents and two more staff members reported positive in the past so far this year. There have been 10 deaths, no more reported in the past 24 hours.

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, Two residents, 3 confirmed staff case, two deaths – That’s no more staff members or residents reporting positive and one more death reported in the past 24 hours.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 2 staff members who have tested positive – That is no additional case reported in the past 24 hours.

Park Place, Monroe – 117 resident cases, 62 confirmed staff cases, 30 deaths – That’s two more staff, one more resident cases and two more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 19 recovered – 2 staff members – That’s one more staff member in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville: 39 confirmed resident cases – 25 staff cases and 6 deaths. That is no more residents, no more staff cases or resident deaths in the past 24 hours.

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported. No more cases reported or deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
