COVID-19: Georgia 149; Gwinnett 4; Walton 4 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

Georgia cases 5,772 plus 2,719 Antigen positives reported for 8,491 total positive tests in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021. Gwinnett County is reporting four more deaths in the past 24 hours, Walton County is reporting four more death and Georgia is reporting 149 more deaths in the past 24 hours.

Walton County

Cases – 6,190 – 44 more cases reported in the past 24 hours – 1,080 in the past 2 weeks 
Cases per 100,000 – 6,460 cumulative (1,127 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 112 – that’s four more death reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 116.9)
Testing 24.1 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 15.1 % (24.1 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks) 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 66,384 – that’s 960 more cases reported in the past 24 hours  (11,060 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 6,836 cumulative (1,139 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 632 – That’s four more deaths reported in the past 24 hours (65.1 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 23 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 12.8 % (23 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks)

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 695,400 that is 5,772 more cases reported in the past 24 hours. An additional 2,719 Antigen positive cases also were reported in the past 24 hours.
ICU admissions – 8041 – 37 more admissions reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 47,311 – That’s 305 more hospitalizations reported in past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 11,411– That is 149 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 6,033,197 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 427,488 antibody tests. That is 44,460 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 661,138 (11 %) have come back positive and 54,174 (12.7 %) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 5,948 (13.4 %) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities

Great Oaks, Monroe – 30 confirmed staff members and 65 residents. That’s no more resident and one more staff members reported positive in the past 24 hours. There have been 12 deaths, that one more reported in the past 24 hours.

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, Two residents, 3 confirmed staff case, two deaths – That’s no more staff members or residents reporting positive and no more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 2 staff members who have tested positive – That is no additional case reported in the past 24 hours.

Park Place, Monroe – 120 resident cases, 65 confirmed staff cases, 33 deaths – That’s one more staff member, one more resident cases and no more death reported in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care – 32 confirmed resident cases, five deaths – 8 staff members – That’s two more staff members, no more residents and no more deaths in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville: 39 confirmed resident cases – 25 staff cases and 6 deaths. That is no more residents, no more staff cases or resident deaths in the past 24 hours.

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported. No more cases reported or deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
