COVID-19: Georgia 154; Gwinnett 8; Walton 3 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

Georgia cases 6,954 plus 1,885 Antigen positives reported for 8,839 total positive tests in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021. Gwinnett County is reporting six more death in the past 24 hours, Walton County is reporting four more deaths and Georgia is reporting 159 more deaths in the past 24 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 5,963 – 100 more cases reported in the past 24 hours – 1,115 in the past 2 weeks 
Cases per 100,000 – 6,224 cumulative (1,164 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 103 – that’s three more death reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 107.5)
Testing 27 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 15 % (27 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks) 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 63,539 – that’s 769 more cases reported in the past 24 hours  (10,319 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 6,543 cumulative (1,164 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 614 – That’s eight more deaths reported in the past 24 hours (63.2 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 24.4 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 12.6 % (24.4 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks)

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 674,994 that is 6,954 more cases reported in the past 24 hours. An additional 1,885 Antigen positive cases also were reported in the past 24 hours.
ICU admissions – 7,954 – 33 more admissions reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 46,515 – That’s 307 more hospitalizations reported in past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 11,029– That is 154 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 5,887,700 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 423,166 antibody tests. That is 43,679 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 638,495 (10.8 %) have come back positive and 52,635 (12.4 %) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 6,868 (15,7 %) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities 

Great Oaks, Monroe – 28 confirmed staff members and 64 residents. That’s Four more residents and no more staff members reported positive in the past so far this year. There have been 11 deaths, one more reported in the past 24 hours.

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, Two residents, 3 confirmed staff case, two deaths – That’s no more staff members or residents reporting positive and one more death reported in the past 24 hours.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 2 staff members who have tested positive – That is no additional case reported in the past 24 hours.

Park Place, Monroe – 119 resident cases, 64 confirmed staff cases, 32 deaths – That’s no more staff, no more resident cases and 2 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 32 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 6 staff members – That’s four more staff members, nine more residents in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville: 39 confirmed resident cases – 25 staff cases and 6 deaths. That is no more residents, no more staff cases or resident deaths in the past 24 hours.

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported. No more cases reported or deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
