COVID-19: Georgia 160; Gwinnett 5; Walton 0 more deaths reported over the Christmas weekend

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020. This is for the three days beginning Christmas Day through to Dec. 27 Gwinnett County is reporting Fivecovmore deaths, Walton County is reporting no more deaths and Georgia is reporting 160 more deaths in the past 72 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 4,261 082 – 179 reported in the past 72 hours- 796 in the past 2 weeks 
Cases per 100,000 – 4,447 cumulative (831 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 84 – that’s no more deaths reported over the past 72 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 87.7)
Testing 23.1 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 12.2 % 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 48,887 – that’s 976 reported over the past 72 hours (6,506 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 5,034 cumulative (670 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 554 – That’s 5 more deaths reported in the past 72 hours (57 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 17.2% positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.8 %

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 543,707 that is 11,753 more cases reported in the past 72 hours.
ICU admissions – 7,217 – 19 more admissions reported in the past 72 hours Hospitalizations – 40,787– That’s 648 more hospitalizations reported in the past 72 hours, 
Total deaths – 9,714 – That is 160 more deaths reported in the past 72 hours

An additional 684 Antigen positive cases were reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 5,233,528 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 399,649 antibody tests. That is 15,054 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 517,672 (9.9 %) have come back positive and 44,953 (11.2 %) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 2,719 (18.1 %) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities 

(This report has not been updated since Thursday – it will be updated again on Dec. 28)

Great Oaks, Monroe – 12 confirmed staff members and 20 residents. Five more residents, one more staff member reported positive in the past 24 hours. There has been one death reported in the past 24 hours.

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, 2 confirmed staff case, no deaths – That’s no more staff member reporting positive in the past 24 hours.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 2 staff member who have tested positive – There have been no additional cases in the past 24 hours.. 

Park Place, Monroe – 98 That’s three more confirmed resident cases, 52 confirmed staff cases, 24 deaths – That’s five more staff, three more resident cases and no more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 19 recovered – 1 staff member – No change in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville: 39 confirmed resident cases – 25 staff cases and 6 deaths. That is two more residents, no more staff cases or resident deaths in the past 24 hours.

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported. No more cases reported or deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
