COVID-19: Georgia 17; Gwinnett 2; Walton 0 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

Georgia cases 6,360 plus 1,380 Antigen positives reported for 7,740 total positive tests in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021. Gwinnett County is reporting two more death in the past 24 hours, Walton County is reporting no more deaths and Georgia is reporting 17 more deaths in the past 24 hours. (Editor’s Note: The reports over the weekend are often lower)

Walton County

Cases – 5,553 – 74 more cases reported in the past 24 hours – 1,231 in the past 2 weeks 
Cases per 100,000 – 5,796 cumulative (1,285 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 89 – that’s no more deaths reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 92.9)
Testing 30.2 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 14.5 % (30.2 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks) 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 59,776 – that’s 906 more cases reported in the past 24 hours  (10,258 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 6,155 cumulative (1,056 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 586 – That’s two more deaths reported in the past 24 hours (60.3 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 24.7% positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 12.2 % (24.7 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks)

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 642,712 that is 6,360 more cases reported in the past 24 hours. An additional 1,380 Antigen positive cases also were reported in the past 24 hours.
ICU admissions – 7,744 – 2 more admissions reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 44,742 – That’s 107 more hospitalizations reported in past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 10,299– That is 17 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 5,708,060 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 415,543 antibody tests. That is 35,770 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 607,912 (10.7 %) have come back positive and 49,883 (12 %) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 6,560 (18.3 %) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities 

Great Oaks, Monroe – 26 confirmed staff members and 60 residents. That’s one more residents and no more staff members reported positive in the past so far this year. There have been 10 deaths, no more reported in the past 24 hours.

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, Two residents, 3 confirmed staff case, one death – That’s no more staff members or residents reporting positive and no more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 2 staff members who have tested positive – That is no additional case reported in the past 24 hours.

Park Place, Monroe – 116 resident cases, 60 confirmed staff cases, 28 deaths – That’s no more staff, no more resident cases and no more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 19 recovered – 1 staff member – No change in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville: 39 confirmed resident cases – 25 staff cases and 6 deaths. That is no more residents, no more staff cases or resident deaths in the past 24 hours.

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported. No more cases reported or deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
