COVID-19: Georgia 170; Gwinnett 12; Walton 4 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

Georgia cases 4,943 plus 2,791 Antigen positives reported for 7,734 total positive tests in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021. Gwinnett County is reporting  12 deaths in the past 24 hours, Walton County is reporting four more death and Georgia is reporting 170 more deaths in the past 24 hours.

Walton County

Cases – 6,146 – 49 more cases reported in the past 24 hours – 1,084 in the past 2 weeks 
Cases per 100,000 – 6,415 cumulative (1,131 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 108 – that’s four more death reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 112.7)
Testing 26 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 15.1 % (26 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks) 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 65,424 – that’s 655 more cases reported in the past 24 hours  (10,511 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 6,737 cumulative (1,082 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 628 – That’s 12 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours (64.7 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 23.8 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 12.8 % (23.8 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks)

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 689,676 that is 4,943 more cases reported in the past 24 hours. An additional 2,791 Antigen positive cases also were reported in the past 24 hours.
ICU admissions – 8004 – 40 more admissions reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 47,006 – That’s 265 more hospitalizations reported in past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 11,265– That is 170 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 5,988,737 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 426,980 antibody tests. That is 31,431 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 655,190 (10.9 %) have come back positive and 53,977 (12.6 %) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 5,499 (17.5 %) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities

 (These figures have now been updated with cases and deaths reported between 15 and Jan. 19, 2021)

Great Oaks, Monroe – 29 confirmed staff members and 65 residents. That’s one more resident and one more staff members reported positive since Jan. 15, 2021. There have been 11 deaths, no more reported since Jan. 15, 2021.

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, Two residents, 3 confirmed staff case, two deaths – That’s no more staff members or residents reporting positive and one more death reported since Jan. 15, 2021.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 2 staff members who have tested positive – That is no additional case reported since Jan. 15, 2021.

Park Place, Monroe – 119 resident cases, 64 confirmed staff cases, 33 deaths – That’s one more staff, no more resident cases and one more death reported since Jan. 15, 2021.

The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 32 confirmed resident cases, five deaths – 6 staff members – That’s no more staff members, no more residents in the past 24 hours and one more death since Jan. 15, 2021.

The Retreat at Loganville: 39 confirmed resident cases – 25 staff cases and 6 deaths. That is no more residents, no more staff cases or resident deaths since Jan. 15, 2021.

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported. No more cases reported or deaths reported in since Jan. 15, 2021.
