COVID-19: Georgia 18; Gwinnett 1; Walton 0 deaths in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting one more death and Walton County is reporting no more deaths in the past 24 hours. Georgia is reporting 18 more deaths and 1,623 more cases in the past 24 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 2,339 – 12 reported in the past 24 hours – 152 in the past 2 weeks .
Cases per 100,000 – 2,441 cumulative (159 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks
Total deaths – 68 – that’s 0 more death reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 71)
Testing 8.1 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 9.8 % 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 30,489 383 – that’s 106 reported over the past 24 hours (1,488 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 3,139 cumulative (153 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 443 – That’s 1 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours (45.6 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 5.7 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 9.9 %

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 353,372 – that is 1,623 more cases reported in the past 24 hours
ICU admissions –5,859 – 30 more admissions reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 31,256 – That’s 169 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 7,844 – That is 18 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

A total of 3,474,891 viral tests have been performed and 327,268 antibody tests. That is 13,503 viral test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the viral tests performed collectively, 330,641 (9.5 %) have come back positive and 29,271 (8.9%) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 1,135 (8.4 %) viral tests came back positive.

Great Oak, Monroe – 3 staff members and 1 resident (1 resident reported recovered) at Great Oaks – no deaths reported – 0 staff member reported in the past 24 hours

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, 1 confirmed staff case, no deaths – That’s no more staff cases reported in past 24 hours

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 1 staff member who has tested positive – none in the past 24 hours

Park Place, Monroe – 90 confirmed resident cases, 34 confirmed staff cases, 23 deaths reported  
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 19 recovered – 1 staff member  
The Retreat at Loganville: three confirmed resident case, three reported recovered, two staff cases, no deaths 

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported. No more reported in the past 24 hours
