Gwinnett County as well as Walton County are each reporting one more death in the last 48 hours. Statewide Georgia is reporting 33 more deaths. Georgia is reporting 1,898 more cases, but that should be viewed in the context that 33,942 more test results were reported in the same period.
Since opening up following the shutdown, Georgia has dropped from 11th in the nation for the number of deaths reported to 13th and from 12th to 17th in the nation for deaths per 1 million in population.
