The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting no more deaths, Walton County is reporting no more deaths and Georgia is reporting 20 more deaths in the past 24 hours.
Walton County
Cases – 3,191 – 24 reported in the past 24 hours – 430 in the past 2 weeks .
Cases per 100,000 – 3,330 cumulative (449 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 78 – that’s 0 more death reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 81.4)
Testing 17.7 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.5 %
Gwinnett County
Cases – 39,910 – that’s 535 reported over the past 24 hours (4,498 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 4,110 cumulative (463 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 513 – That’s 0 more death reported in the past 24 hours (52.8 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 14.1 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 9.8 %
Georgia
Confirmed cases – 452,369 – that is 3,709 more cases reported in the past 24 hours
ICU admissions – 6,719 – 28 more admission reports in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 36,461 – That’s 191 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours,
Total deaths – 9,027 – That is 20 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours
An additional 2,007 Antigen positive cases were reported in the past 24 hours.
A total of 4,555,443 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 371,988 antibody tests. That is 34,383 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 425,006 (9.3 %) have come back positive and 37,643 (10.1%) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 4,058 (11.8 %) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.
