COVID-19: Georgia 43; Gwinnett 0; Walton 0 more deaths reported in the last 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting no more deaths and Walton County is reporting no more deaths in the past 24 hours. Georgia is reporting 43 more deaths and 1,376 cases in the past 24 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 1,847 – 11 reported in the past 24 hours – 123 in the past 2 weeks .
Cases per 100,000 – 1,928 cumulative (128 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks
Total deaths – 55 – that’s 0 more deaths reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 57.4)
Testing 8.1 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.2 % 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 27,733 – that’s 86 reported over the past 24 hours (1,304 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 2,856 cumulative (134 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 409 – That’s 0 more death reported in the past 24 hours (42.1 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 5.0 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.8 %

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 319,334 – that is 1,376 more cases reported in the past 24 hours
ICU admissions –5,300 – that is 31 more admissions in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 28,668 – That’s 146 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 7,063 – That is 43 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

A total of 2,954,392 viral tests have been performed and 303,223 antibody tests. That is 22,713 viral test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the viral tests performed collectively, 299,351 (10.1 %) have come back positive and 25,321 (8.4%) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 1,289 or 8.4 % viral tests came back positive.

Gardens of Social Circle – 3 staff members and 2 residents have tested positive. No deaths reported

Great Oak, Monroe – 2 staff members and 1 resident (1 resident reported recovered) at Great Oaks – no deaths reported

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, 1 confirmed staff case, no deaths – That’s no more staff cases reported in past 24 hours

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 1 staff member who has tested positive 

Park Place, Monroe – 90 confirmed resident cases, 34 confirmed staff cases, 23 deaths reported  
The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 19 recovered 
The Retreat at Loganville: three confirmed resident case, three reported recovered, two staff cases, no deaths 

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported.
