COVID-19: Georgia 46; Gwinnett 4; Walton 0 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting four more deaths, Walton County is reporting no more deaths and Georgia is reporting 46 more deaths in the past 24 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 3,222 – 24 reported in the past 24 hours – 447 in the past 2 weeks .
Cases per 100,000 – 3,222 cumulative (467 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 78 – that’s 0 more death reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 81.4)
Testing 17.2 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.5 % 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 40,322 – that’s 412 reported over the past 24 hours (4,714 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 4,147 cumulative (485 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 517 – That’s 4 more death reported in the past 24 hours (53.2 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 14.8 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 9.9 %

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 455,113 – that is 3,783 more cases reported in the past 24 hours 
ICU admissions – 6,756 – 37 more admission reports in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 36,740 – That’s 279 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 9,073 – That is 46 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

An additional 1,927 Antigen positive cases were reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 4,578,124 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 373,866 antibody tests. That is 22,681 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 427,970 (9.3 %) have come back positive and 38,123 (10.2%) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 2,964 (13.1%) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.
