COVID-19: Georgia 52; Gwinnett 4; Walton 0 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting three more deaths, Walton County is reporting no more deaths and Georgia is reporting 41 more deaths over the weekend. 

Walton County

Cases – 3,906 – 60 reported in the past 24 hours- 708 in the past 2 weeks 
Cases per 100,000 – 4,077 cumulative (739 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 84 – that’s no more deaths reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 87.7)
Testing 19.0 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 11.5 % 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 46,537 5,864 – that’s 673 reported over the past 24 hours (6,546 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 4,792 cumulative (674 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 543 – That’s 4 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours (55.5 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 16.2% positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.5 %

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 518,902 – that is 6,242 more cases reported in the past 24 hours 
ICU admissions – 7,103 – 48 more admissions reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 39,836– That’s 334 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 9,503– That is 52 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

An additional 3,067 Antigen positive cases were reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 5,049,355 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 392,358 antibody tests. That is 50,049 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 491,226 (9.7 %) have come back positive and 42,937 (10.9%) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 6,854 (13.7 %) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities 

Great Oak, Monroe – 11 confirmed staff members and 15 residents. No more residents or staff member reported positive in the past 24 hours. There have been no deaths reported.

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, 2 confirmed staff case, no deaths – That’s no more staff member reporting positive in the past 24 hours.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 2 staff member who have tested positive – There have been no additional cases in the past 24 hours.. 

Park Place, Monroe – 95 That’s two more confirmed resident cases, 47 confirmed staff cases, 24 deaths – That’s one more staff, no more resident cases and no more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 19 recovered – 1 staff member – No change in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville: 37 confirmed resident cases – 25 staff cases and 6 deaths. That is no more residents, staff cases or resident deaths in the past 24 hours.

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported. No more cases reported in the past 24 hours.
