COVID-19: Georgia 63; Gwinnett 2; Walton 1 more death reported in the past 24 hours

Georgia cases 5,404 plus 1,172 Antigen positives reported for 6,576 total positive tests in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021. Gwinnett County is reporting two more deaths in the past 24 hours, Walton County is reporting one more death and Georgia is reporting 63 more deaths in the past 24 hours. (Numbers are traditionally lower over the weekend, likely due to less statistics being reported)

Walton County

Cases – 6,097 – 57 more cases reported in the past 24 hours – 1,095 in the past 2 weeks 
Cases per 100,000 – 6,363 cumulative (1,143 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 104 – that’s one more death reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 108.5)
Testing 26.7 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 15.1 % (26.7 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks) 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 64,769 – that’s 564 more cases reported in the past 24 hours  (10,717 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 6,669 cumulative (1,104 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 616 – That’s two more deaths reported in the past 24 hours (63.4 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 24.2 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 12.7 % (24.2 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks)

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 684,763 that is 4,428 more cases reported in the past 24 hours. An additional 761 Antigen positive cases also were reported in the past 24 hours.
ICU admissions – 7,964 – 7 more admissions reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 46,741 – That’s 122 more hospitalizations reported in past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 11,095– That is 63 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 5,957 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 426,349 antibody tests. That is 31,865 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 649,691 (10.9 %) have come back positive and 53,759 (12.6 %) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 5,088 (16 %) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities (There are no figures updated yet for Jan. 18, 2021)

Great Oaks, Monroe – 28 confirmed staff members and 64 residents. That’s Four more residents and no more staff members reported positive in the past so far this year. There have been 11 deaths, one more reported in the past 24 hours.

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, Two residents, 3 confirmed staff case, two deaths – That’s no more staff members or residents reporting positive and one more death reported in the past 24 hours.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 2 staff members who have tested positive – That is no additional case reported in the past 24 hours.

Park Place, Monroe – 119 resident cases, 64 confirmed staff cases, 32 deaths – That’s no more staff, no more resident cases and 2 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 32 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 6 staff members – That’s four more staff members, nine more residents in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville: 39 confirmed resident cases – 25 staff cases and 6 deaths. That is no more residents, no more staff cases or resident deaths in the past 24 hours.

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported. No more cases reported or deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
