COVID-19: Georgia 68; Gwinnett 1; Walton 0 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan 5, 2021. Gwinnett County is reporting one more death in the past 24 hours, Walton County is reporting no more deaths and Georgia is reporting 68 more deaths in the past 24 hours

Walton County

Cases – 5,015 – 70 more cases reported in the past 24 hours – 1,102 in the past 2 weeks 
Cases per 100,000 – 5,234 cumulative (1,150 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 88 – that’s no more deaths reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 91.8)
Testing 31.0 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 13.6 % (31.0 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks) 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 54,733 – that’s 849 more cases reported in the past 24 hours  (8,113 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 5,636 cumulative (835 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 566 – That’s one more death reported in the past 24 hours (58.3 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 23.1% positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 11.5 % (23.1 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks)

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 597,208 that is 6,153 more cases reported in the past 24 hours. An additional 4,159 Antigen positive cases also were reported in the past 24 hours.
ICU admissions – 7,535 471 – 64 more admissions reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 43,018 – That’s 423 more hospitalizations reported in past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 9,966– That is 68 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 5,509,880 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 408,030 antibody tests. That is 27,090 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 571,561 (10.4 %) have come back positive and 47,497 (11.6 %) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 5,486 (20.3 %) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities 

(From report dated Jan. 4, 2021)

Great Oaks, Monroe – 25 confirmed staff members and 57 residents. That’s twelve more residents and no more staff members reported positive in the past so far this year. There have been seven deaths, four more reported so far this year.

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, Two residents, 3 confirmed staff case, one deaths – That’s no more staff members or residents reporting positive and no more deaths reported so far this year.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 2 staff members who have tested positive – That is no additional case reported in the past 24 hours.

Park Place, Monroe – 107 resident cases, 57 confirmed staff cases, 26 deaths – That’s two more staff, four more resident cases and two more deaths reported so far this year.

The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 19 recovered – 1 staff member – No change in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville: 39 confirmed resident cases – 25 staff cases and 6 deaths. That is no more residents, no more staff cases or resident deaths in the past 24 hours.

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported. No more cases reported or deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
