COVID-19: Georgia positive rate is 20.4 %; Gwinnett is 22.4 % and Walton is 31.6 % in the past two weeks

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan 4, 2021. Gwinnett County is reporting no more deaths in the past 24 hours, Walton County is reporting no more deaths and Georgia is reporting seven more deaths in the past 24 hours

Walton County

Cases – 4,945 – 43 more cases reported in the past 24 hours – 1092 in the past 2 weeks 
Cases per 100,000 – 5,161 cumulative (1,140 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 88 – that’s no more deaths reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 91.8)
Testing 31.6 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 13.6 % (31.6 % of those tested came back positive) 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 53,884 – that’s 345 more cases reported in the past 24 hours  (7,957 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 5,549 cumulative (819 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 565 – That’s no more deaths reported in the past 24 hours (58.2 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 22.4% positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 11.4 % (22.4 % of those tested came back positive)

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 591,106 that is 4045 more cases reported in the past 24 hours.
ICU admissions – 7,471 – 54 more admissions reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 42,595 – That’s 112 more hospitalizations reported in past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 9,900– That is 7 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

An additional 1,245 Antigen positive cases were reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 5,482,790 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 407,192 antibody tests. That is 20,549 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 566,075 (10.3 %) have come back positive and 47,231 (11.6 %) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 4,183 (20.4 %) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities 

(This has not been updated since Dec. 31, 2020)

Great Oaks, Monroe – 25 confirmed staff members and 45 residents. One more residents and no more staff members reported positive in the past 24 hours. There have been three deaths, one more reported in the past 24 hours.

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, Two residents, 3 confirmed staff case, one deaths – That’s one more staff member, two residents reporting positive and one death reported in the past 24 hours.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 2 staff member who have tested positive – That is no additional case reported in the past 24 hours.

Park Place, Monroe – 104 resident cases, 56 confirmed staff cases, 24 deaths – That’s no more staff, no more resident cases and no more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 19 recovered – 1 staff member – No change in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville: 39 confirmed resident cases – 25 staff cases and 6 deaths. That is no more residents, no more staff cases or resident deaths in the past 24 hours.

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported. No more cases reported or deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
