Walton County School District is reported two individuals districtwide have tested positive for COVID-19 since school resumed on Jan. 6 following the Christmas break.
“In an effort to continue providing transparent information regarding COVID-19 activity in our schools, we are resuming our weekly COVID-19 updates. This week’s report only includes cases of individuals who reported to school on Jan. 6-7, 2021. Next week’s report will include all cases reported from Jan. 8-14, 2021,” Callen Moore, public relations officer for WCSD, said.
The two individuals reporting positive for COVID-19 represent .01 % of the school population. In addition, 25 individuals are on precautionary quarantine, representing.16 % of the school population.
Social Circle City Schools opted to go digital until Monday and will then return to face-to-face learning for those parents who wish to continue that way. Those who wish to continue digital learning also will still have the option to do so.
