COVID-19: Total Georgia hospital beds in use 81.6%; Gwinnett area 83.8 % Walton area 85.8 %

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020. Gwinnett County is reporting three more deaths, Walton County is reporting no more deaths and Georgia is reporting 53 more deaths in the past 24 hours 

Walton County

Cases – 4,082 – 123 reported in the past 24 hours- 750 in the past 2 weeks 
Cases per 100,000 – 4,260 cumulative (792 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 84 – that’s no more deaths reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 87.7)
Testing 21.1 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 11.8 % 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 47,911 – that’s 796 reported over the past 24 hours (6,907 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 4,933 cumulative (711 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 549 – That’s 3 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours (56.5 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 17.4% positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 10.7 %

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 531,954 – that is 7,958 more cases reported in the past 24 hours 
ICU admissions – 7,217 – 69 more admissions reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 40,139– That’s 303 more hospitalizations reported in the past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 9,554 – That is 53 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours

An additional 2,682 Antigen positive cases were reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 5,135,306 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 396,503 antibody tests. That is 49,170 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 503,859 (9.8 %) have come back positive and 44,099 (11.0 %) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 7,029 (14.3 %) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities 

Great Oaks, Monroe – 12 confirmed staff members and 20 residents. Five more residents, one more staff member reported positive in the past 24 hours. There has been one death reported in the past 24 hours.

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, 2 confirmed staff case, no deaths – That’s no more staff member reporting positive in the past 24 hours.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 2 staff member who have tested positive – There have been no additional cases in the past 24 hours.. 

Park Place, Monroe – 98 That’s three more confirmed resident cases, 52 confirmed staff cases, 24 deaths – That’s five more staff, three more resident cases and no more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 23 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 19 recovered – 1 staff member – No change in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville: 39 confirmed resident cases – 25 staff cases and 6 deaths. That is two more residents, no more staff cases or resident deaths in the past 24 hours.

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported. No more cases reported or deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
