COVID-19: Walton cases hit 100, deaths drop to 2

Georgia is now reporting 78 deaths in the past 24 hours

The Georgia Department of Public Health revealed its new way of report data, giving the following information on COVID-19 information for Walton County as at 7 p.m. on April 27, 2020

  • Cases – 100,
  • Cases per 100,000 – 104.37
  • Total deaths – 2
  • Hospitalized 16

Georgia DPH has been reporting three deaths for Walton County since April 15. It is unclear why this has now dropped to two, but we will update when we get that information.

The Georgia DPH is reporting the following information for Gwinnett County.

  • Cases – 1545
  • Cases per 100,000 – 159.09
  • Total deaths – 52
  • Hospitalized – 330

Georgia’s total are:

  • Confirmed cases – 24,225
  • ICU admissions – 1,070
  • Hospitalizations – 4,744
  • Total deaths – 994

With 916 deaths reported at 7 p.m. on April 26, 2020, this gives 52 deaths reported over the past 24 hours.

Walton County long-term care facilities are reporting:

Park Place, Monroe – 13 confirmed resident cases, one confirmed staff case, no deaths
• The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building –  nine confirmed resident cases, three deaths
• The Retreat at Loganville: one confirmed resident case, no staff cases, no deaths
