COVID-19: Walton County deaths hit 100 after 4 more deaths reported in past 24 hours

Georgia cases 7,394 plus 2,759 Antigen positives reported for 10,163 total positive tests in the past 24 hours

The following is a snapshot of the statistics reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021. Gwinnett County is reporting six more death in the past 24 hours, Walton County is reporting four more deaths and Georgia is reporting 159 more deaths in the past 24 hours. 

Walton County

Cases – 5,863 – 111 more cases reported in the past 24 hours – 1,117 in the past 2 weeks 
Cases per 100,000 – 6,119 cumulative (1,166 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 100 – that’s four more death reported over the past 24 hours (deaths per 100,000 is 104.4)
Testing 27 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 14.8 % (27 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks) 

Gwinnett County

Cases – 62,770 – that’s 756 more cases reported in the past 24 hours  (10,112 in the past 2 weeks).
Cases per 100,000 – 6,464 cumulative (1,041 per 100,000 in past 2 weeks)
Total deaths – 606 – That’s six more deaths reported in the past 24 hours (62.4 deaths per 100,000 reported)
Testing – 24.9 % positive in the past 2 weeks, overall 12.5 % (24.9 % of those tested came back positive over the past 2 weeks)

Georgia

Confirmed cases – 668,068 that is 7,394 more cases reported in the past 24 hours. An additional 2,759 Antigen positive cases also were reported in the past 24 hours.
ICU admissions – 7,919 – 50 more admissions reported in the past 24 hours Hospitalizations – 46,208 – That’s 315 more hospitalizations reported in past 24 hours, 
Total deaths – 10,878– That is 159 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 5,844,021 PCR/Molecular tests have been performed and 421,324 antibody tests. That is 43,014 PCR/Molecular test results reported in the last 24 hours. Of the these tests performed collectively, 631,627 (10.8 %) have come back positive and 51,947 (12.3 %) antibody tests have come back positive. Today 7,222 (16.8 %) PCR/Molecular tests came back positive.

Walton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities 

Great Oaks, Monroe – 28 confirmed staff members and 64 residents. That’s Four more residents and no more staff members reported positive in the past so far this year. There have been 11 deaths, one more reported in the past 24 hours.

Hollander Senior Living, Monroe, Two residents, 3 confirmed staff case, two deaths – That’s no more staff members or residents reporting positive and one more death reported in the past 24 hours.

Magnolia Senior Living – Loganville – (Gwinnett County) has 2 staff members who have tested positive – That is no additional case reported in the past 24 hours.

Park Place, Monroe – 119 resident cases, 64 confirmed staff cases, 32 deaths – That’s no more staff, no more resident cases and 2 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville Pearl Memory Care Building – 32 confirmed resident cases, four deaths – 6 staff members – That’s four more staff members, nine more residents in the past 24 hours.

The Retreat at Loganville: 39 confirmed resident cases – 25 staff cases and 6 deaths. That is no more residents, no more staff cases or resident deaths in the past 24 hours.

Social Circle Nursing and Rehab in Social Circle is reporting that 23 residents and 13 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 and two resident death were reported. No more cases reported or deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
