Dekalb County PD seeks help identifying alleged attempted kidnapping suspect

TUCKER, Ga. – The DeKalb County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in connection with an attempted kidnapping alleged to have taken place on Nov. 25.

According to the police report, at about 9:10 pm on Monday an unidentified male attempted to kidnap a 24-year-old woman who had returned to her car after picking up food from Bad Daddy’s Burger at 1575 Church Street in Decatur Ga. She was about to start the car when a man allegedly jumped into the passenger seat brandishing a black rifle and instructed her to “drive, drive.” She was able to get out of the vehicle and run back into the restaurant for assistance, dropping her cell phone as she ran.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 40-50 years old, 5’00”-5’02”, 130-135lbs, with short black hair, wearing a black jacket, dark pants, black hat, and armed with a black rifle.  He was last seen driving away in a gray four-door vehicle.
