David Dickinson, longtime attorney and Associate Juvenile Court Judge in Walton County’s Alcovy Judicial Circuit, celebrated his retirement from the bench at a celebration in the Walton County Courthouse Thursday.

Dickinson has served in many roles in Walton County and Monroe over the past 26 plus years, including as mayor from 1998 to 2002 and currently continues to serve as a Monroe city councilman. Although he has stepped down from the bench, Dickinson pledges to continue to serve the community.

“It has been an honor to serve my community in this role. I hope and trust that I have made a difference in some folks’ lives,” Dickinson said on his retirement. “I will continue to serve this city and county that I love in other roles.”
