Domestic chickens back on the agenda for Social Circle City Council

Social Circle City Council will consider a draft ordinance at Tuesday’s work session that would allow for the keeping of no more than three chickens as domestic pets in residential areas of the city under certain conditions. The item is back on the agenda following last months discussion on the issue.

The Social Circle April work session is on Tuesday, April 18, at 5:30 p.m. and the City Council meeting follows at 6:30 p.m. There is a full agenda for both meetings, which take place in the community room at 138 East Hightower Trail in Social Circle. The public is invited to both meetings. The agendas follow.
