Effective Jan. 27, 2019, postage is going to cost more in the US

Effective Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, postage rates in the United States have gone up by about 2.5 percent on average. Rates vary, however, According to the United States Postal Service, mailing services are based on the Consumer Price Index, but shipping services are adjusted according to market conditions. It is believed that the new rates will keep the USPS competitive while at the same time provide it with some much-needed revenue,

The proposed Mailing Services price changes include:
