Rachel Ernst takes over as principal of the entire campus
Noting a desire to most effectively position the school for the future, Loganville Christian Academy recently announced changes in the structure of its leadership team.
LCA has successfully operated the PreK-12th grade school for twenty-three years under its existing organizational structure. The new shift in roles is meant to provide a more intentional separation between strategic leadership and daily operations. Until now, Founder and Administrator, Christy Monda, has divided her time, providing strategic direction for the school as well as directing its daily operations.
Monda will now be able to fully embrace the strategic directing of the school, while current Upper School (Grades 6-12) Principal Rachel Ernst will transition into a role that includes leading the entire campus on a daily basis. When asked about the new role, Ernst noted, “I am excited about this new season and honored to work alongside our team to ensure that the entire vision of LCA, established more than 20-years ago, is realized in the days, months, and years ahead.”
After working with an outside leadership consulting firm for more than a year, it became clear to the leadership team that leveraging these two roles in this manner would best position LCA for success over the next 23 years, and beyond.
“The natural progression of growth in any organization oftentimes includes an intentional delineation between the roles of a ‘Big Picture Visionary’ and a more ‘Hands-On Implementer,’” said LCA Board Chairman Andrew Pourchier. “We can’t wait to see how the Lord uses Christy and Rachel’s unique leadership strengths to advance the mission of our school to prepare students academically, spiritually, and socially for God’s call on their lives in the days ahead.”
“While it’s been my joy to oversee the operations of LCA for the past 23-years, I can’t tell you how excited I am to be concentrating full-time on the strategic direction of our school. Rachel’s love for the Lord, for children, and for education all position her to lead the daily operations of LCA in a way that, I believe, will take us into our best days,” said the school’s founder, Christy Monda.
