Firefighters involved in fatal fire rescue attempt to receive commendation

The local firefighters who were involved in the rescue attempt during last month’s fatal fire in Monroe will be recognized at Tuesday’s Monroe City Council meeting. The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at the Community Building on Church Street in Monroe. The public is invited.
