First Presbyterian Church of Monroe – news and events

Press release from FPC of Monroe

This Sunday (5/21) we celebrate the 6th Sunday of the Easter season and Pentecost.   Be sure to wear red!   Things get underway at 9:15am with food and fellowship at the Breakfast Table.  Sunday School, for all ages, follows at 9:45am.  Our traditional worship service is at 11am.  Pastor George’s sermon “I am the Alpha and the Omega” is based upon Revelation 1.4-8.

We will enjoy a Pentecost Luncheon immediately after the service.

You’re invited to attend our Zumba class on Wednesday only this week at 6pm in our Fellowship Hall.  Tuesday at 10am will be our last Pastor’s Bible Study until September.  Men are invited to our “Man’s Cave” on Thursdays at 10am to enjoy refreshments and solve the world’s problems.

Looking ahead to this summer, our VBS program will be held June 16/17 for one weekend only.

FPC is proud to sponsor Boy Scout Troop #705 and Cub Scout Pack #705.

We’re a friendly bunch growing in its love and obedience to Jesus, and we’d love to have you join us for any and all of our activities.  We’re located at the corner of Breedlove and McDaniel.  Come visit us.  Scout us out beforehand at www.fpcmonroe.com.
