‘Flying the Coop’ Benefit Ride for Officer Matt Cooper

There will be a benefit ride on Saturday, Sept. 29 for Covington Police Officer Matt Cooper who is recovering from a gunshot wound he received at the Covington Walmart on Labor Day while trying to apprehend a shoplifting suspect. The cost to participate in the ride is $15 for cars/trucks/jeeps and motorcycles. There also will also be doing a 50/50 raffle and auction at the end of the ride.
registration will start at 8 a.m. The ride will leave at 10 a.m. They are also looking for sponsors at $100. Sponsors will receive a logo on the banner. This will be an escorted ride as well. The ride will start and end at the K-Mart parking lot at 7207 Turner Lake Road, Covington. All proceeds from the Ride will go to Officer Cooper and his family.
