Former Loganville fire chief hired as new Walton County EMA Director

Carl Morrow, former Loganville Fire Chief, has been appointed Emergency Management Director for Walton County.

Monroe, GA – August 14, 2019 – Walton County Board of Commissioners announced the appointment of former Loganville Fire Chief Carl Morrow as the Emergency Management Agency Director. Morrow tendered his resignation to the City of Loganville last week. He served the City of Loganville Fire Depared for 21 years. He began as a Firefighter Engineer in 1998 and over the years served as a Firefighter Engineer, Lieutenant, Battalion Chief, Assistant Chief, and Fire Chief.

“We are elated that Carl is joining our team,” Kevin Little, Chairman of the Walton County Board of Commissioners, said in a statement. “Carl’s extensive knowledge of fire safety and emergency management makes him a perfect fit for the position. Out of six well-qualified individuals, Carl was chosen by the interview committee through a unanimous decision. We look forward to having him serve as our EMA Director.”

Walton County BOC reports that Morrow holds a degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University as well as a multitude of certifications, qualifications, and experience that have prepared him for his role as EMA Director for Walton County Government.
