Two adults and two children were displaced by a house fire in Monroe on Saturday morning, Jan. 27, 2018, according to officials with the City of Monroe Fire Department. Fire crews from the MFD and Walton County Fire Rescue responded to the fire.

“The fire started in the area of the back porch. Fire crews were able to make a quick stop on the fire after arriving on the scene,” said Monroe Asst. Fire Chief Bill Owens. “It appears to be accidental but investigators have just started looking into the cause of the fire.”
Owens said there were no injuries but two adults and two children have been displaced.
