Friday is last day for early voting in Walton County in the General Election

Advanced voting in Georgia began on Oct. 15, 2024 and ends Friday, Nov. 1. That means that the end of this election season is almost over! If you haven’t voted by 5 p.m. on Friday in Walton County, you only have one more chance to cast you ballot and that will be at your official voting precinct on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

In Walton County, voters wishing to cast their ballots in person early can still do so from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. from until Friday afternoon at one of the following locations:

  • Felker Park, 725 S. Madison Ave, Monroe GA 30655
  • South Walton Community Room, 573 Fairplay Dr., Social Circle GA 30025
  • Meridian Park, 105 Generation Blvd, Loganville GA 30052

There will be no Saturday voting this weekend.

A drop box will be available for absentee ballots to be dropped off (inside only) at the Meridian Park early voting location during all early voting hours. It too will close at 5 p.m, on Nov. 1.

Requirements for early voting:

  • A photo ID is required to vote.
  • Any voter may cast a ballot during advance voting at any advance voting location in the county in which they are registered with no reason required.
  • If a voter requests an absentee ballot, but decides to vote in person, the absentee ballot must be cancelled before voting in person.  If the voter has the ballot, the ballot shall be submitted to the poll worker to be cancelled.  If the voter does not have the absentee ballot, the poll manager will need to call the county elections office to have it cancelled before the voter can vote.
