GBI seeks assistance in finding vehicle believed involved in double homicide in Rome, Ga.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is seeking the help of the public in finding a vehicle linked to the double homicide of two women in Rome, Ga. during the evening hours of Tuesday, May 12, 2020. They were believed to have been in a vehicle similar to the one posted below prior to their murder.

The vehicle belonged to one of the victims, Vanita Richardson, 19. GBI report that the investigation has shown that both Richardson and the other victim, Truvenia Campbell, 31, both of Rome, were in this vehicle during the evening hours of Tuesday, May 12, 2020.  The vehicle’s location is not known at this time but investigators believe that it could be somewhere in the Metro Atlanta area.   Anyone with information concerning this vehicle or the investigation, please contact the GBI tip line at 1-800-597-8477.

The two women who were found dead under the Etowah bridge in the Rome area (Loop 1) on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. If you were traveling in that area and saw anything suspicious between Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. and Wednesday at 11 a.m.you are asked to contact the GBI at 1-800-597-TIPS (8477) with any information pertinent to the investigation.
