GDOT’s Business Help Center to host breakfast for small business owners about potential projects

ATLANTA, GA – Do you own a small business and want to do business with the Georgia Department of Transportation? GDOT has opportunities for service providers of all sizes to participate in a variety of transportation-related maintenance projects.

The Georgia DOT State Supported Funding Program (SSFP) invites you to attend a breakfast at the SSFP Business Help Center in Decatur, Ga. Attendees will learn about GDOT business opportunities and have the chance to network with other small business owners and GDOT staff. A light breakfast will be served.

The Georgia DOT SSFP Business Resource Help Center in the city of Decatur assists eligible DBEs and registered Small and Veteran-owned Small Businesses in identifying and responding to business opportunities through Georgia DOT. These activities offer DBEs businesses the opportunity to establish themselves as a qualified contractor to bid on projects.

In addition to events held at the resource center, the SSFP also conducts events and workshops across Georgia. There’s road work ahead. Roadway work zones are hazardous for workers and for the public. In fact, most work zone fatalities are drivers or passengers. Work zone safety is everybody’s responsibility.
